Find that perfect pumpkin spice latte

So many delicious flavours come with the new season: pumpkin spice, cinnamon apple, cream caramel and more. What better way to enjoy them than in a local coffee brew? Visit us right here on-site at Bar55, or try a full-tasting experience with Epoch Chemistry Coffee, whose beans we serve! Other local favourites include Café L’Admial, Café Archibald, Jassy Boutique & Tea Room, Café Bistro C’est La Vie, Café Codiac, Café Clementine and more.

Head for a hike or out with our fat bike

Spend this season taking in all the Fall beauty while staying active! We have so many amazing trails at our fingertips. Enjoy our two complimentary fat bikes, and get exploring! Immediately surrounding the city you’ll find Centennial Park, Mapleton Park and Irishtown Nature Park. Our downtown is also extremely bike-friendly, perfect for taking a leisure ride and checking out local shops and restaurants. Prefer a hike, pack up your gear and head out to either Fundy or Kouchibouguac for an epic day of exploring.

Refresh your wardrobe or decor

Colder weather means an ideal opportunity to go shopping for new fall clothes, including cozy sweaters, hats, scarves and more, and it’s a truth universally acknowledged that autumn clothing is simply the best. Moncton is well known for its vast selection of local artisans, offering hand-crafted jewelry, ornaments, decor and more. There’s an unlimited supply of local products at your disposal. Peruse the many places right Downtown like the Moncton Market, Starving Artist Gift Shop, My Home Mercantile, Gifts Galore and more.

Enjoy some of the season’s best live performances

There’s just something about standing under a lighted marquee on a crisp fall night that makes you come alive.  The  Capitol Theatre is an icon of Downtown Moncton and the perfect place to head on a crisp Fall night for a show happening at the Capitol year-round. The Avenir Centre also has a great line-up of shows coming up including some second-to-none concerts.

Get lost in a corn maze

Put your sense of direction to the test with a corn maze this Fall. A perfect activity fit for the family and friends! A local favourite can be found at the GreenPig Market, where they also have a market, coffee shop & tons of other Fall flairs. Other Maritime favourites perfect for a day trip can be found at Fletcher’s Farm and Hunters Brothers Farm.

Harvest some goodies from a farm or market

From fresh vegetables to eggs and more, the Maritimes are home to some of the best farms in Atlantic Canada. Head out on an adventure to harvest some local products for your next meal. Find the pick of the patch at a u-pick

From apples, pumpkins and more, we are at no short supply when it comes to u-pick options. One of our favourites is apple picking at Verger Belliveau orchard! Eat them, make apple sauce or even a pie! Can you say delicious? Not to mention, they also have a cidery on site where you can refresh after a hard day of picking! Get a full list of u-picks here:!

Paint your own pottery

During Fall, there are always a few chilly days, where an outdoor adventure might not be ideal! Those days are perfect for heading to DIY Studio, just seconds from the core of Downtown Moncton, where you can select your pottery to paint from mugs, vases and more. They also have a cozy on-site cafe. Feel like crafting at home? Head to the Painted Pineapple and grab some supplies for a craft-day in!

Go leaf hunting with a scenic drive

Head into a new season feeling hoppy with a brewery tour

Hoppy, malty, crisp and delicious! We can only be talking about one thing: local craft beer! We are so lucky to have tons of craft & local breweries right at our fingertips, many of which are just a short drive or within walking distance. Carve up something spooktacular

As we head into Fall, pumpkins are growing big and small! What better time to go pick one out and carve? Whether a friendly competition between your closet pals or simply a family night, it’s a must-do this season. There are several pumpkin patches within day-trip distance including Les Petits Fruits de Pré-d’en-Haut, Hazen Cameron and Son Farm, Hat Creek Farms and more.

Climb aboard a wagon ride

What better way to take in the lovely scenic views than a traditional wagon ride? A timeless classic Fall activity, perfect for a day date. One of our favourite places to visit is Broadleaf Guest Ranch which also has Horseback Riding, a nice restaurant and more.

Head on a haunted adventure

Do you find frightful delightful? Consider heading to a out to the haunted corn trail hosted annually at the Green Pig Country Market! Prefer an indoor activity? Check-out one of the local escape rooms, perfect for a group night out!

Sip some cider or seasonal wine

Nothing says fall like a crisp refreshing cider! Luckily with all of our beautiful orchards, we are in no short supply. A day trip to Verger Belliveau Orchard is a must this season, or if you prefer a day trip, you can head out to the new Yip Cider location in Long Reach, New Brunswick. Prefer more of a traditional sip, like a cranberry or blueberry wine? Head to our local vineyard, Magnetic Hill Winery offering tastings, private events and more.

Embrace your inner lumberjack with axe throwing

Nothing says Fall like a stylish plaid shirt, and: axe throwing. Timber Lounge is a local favourite spot where you can rock both. Just steps from our front door, it’s a perfect group event. There’s also local craft beer on-site and often live music too.

Strike out this fall

When you aren’t up for an outdoor adventure but are still looking for something a little competitive and fun to enjoy, then bowling is a must! Recently opened and just across the river is Holy Bowly in Riverview. Not only are they a family-friendly bowling alley, but they have a brewery on-site serving up craft brews for those kid-free nights!

Fall for some comfort food

Indulge in some local eats, embracing all the warm soul soothing flavours of the new season. Many places like Little Louis, Tony’s Bistro and Black Rabbit offer seasonal tasting menus. However, we are in no short supply of other local eateries nearby. Right, on-site you will find Gahan House serving up East Coast eats, but there are many options for every palet and many types of cuisine just steps away from us on Main Street including Indian, African, Lebanese and Italian-inspired eateries.

Head to beer or wine fest

Whatever your go-to sip this season, there’s a festival for you! Both taking place right here in the Hub City, The Atlantic Craft Brew Festival is happening on October 29, 2022, and the World Wine and Food Expo is taking place from November 4-5, 2022.

Catch a football game

Spend Friday night under the lights, a fall tradition all around the country. Make the day of it, pack your favourite snacks and head to a game. Not up to an in-person sporting event, go catch a game at one of our local sports bars/restaurants!

Picnic in a park

With the leaves changing, it’s always a pleasure to simply dial back and enjoy simple pleasures. Head out to a local park, or one of our many scenic areas and have lunch under nature’s beauty. You can make homemade sandwiches, or even get a local charcuterie board from one of the many companies we have here like Les Gourmandes, Dolma Foods, Peonie Socials, Brie & Honey and more.

Go antique hunting

Unearth the hidden treasures of our region this season, by heading out in search of antiques. From jewelry, art, furniture, and collectables, you may just find something you will cherish for years. We have several antique, thrift and refurbished furniture stores right here in the city, and several out along those scenic routes. Get out there and get hunting!
