What better way to get your caffeine fix than with a refreshing ice-cold drink? Many of our local coffee shops have rolled out feature cold brews and iced coffees/lattes. Visit us right here on-site at Bar55 for your morning pick-me-up, or even try a full tasting experience with Epoch Chemistry Coffee, whose beans we serve! What’s better than sipping a nice cold beer? Sipping a nice cold local beer. We are so lucky to have tons of craft & local breweries right at our fingertips, many of which are just a short drive or within walking distance. As the weather warms up, many places have already opened their patios and have regular live music. Enjoy of sampling local brews, or simply go grab some cans to enjoy in your room. Get rolling with fat & leisure biking

Spend this season taking in that sweet sunshine while staying active! We have so many amazing trails at our fingertips. Enjoy our two complimentary fat bikes, and get exploring! Immediately surrounding the city you’ll find Centennial Park, Mapleton Park and Irishtown Nature Park. Our downtown is also extremely bike-friendly, perfect for taking a leisure ride and checking out local shops and restaurants.

Savour a sweet treat

Sometimes you just need to treat yourself! Lucky for you, we have tons of local businesses serving up goodies for you to enjoy this season. Just up the block from us, you will find two local favourites: Halo Donuts and Lost and Found Ice Cream, both of which are always rolling out new exciting flavours for visitors to enjoy. Some other local faves include: Holy Fudge by Al, The Devils Halo Cheesecake, The Cookie Jar and the Carefree Cakery! Prefer a treat that doesn’t come with as much guilt? The Wellness Exchange has tons of options, especially for those with dietary restrictions.

Moncton is well known for its vast selection of local artisans, offering hand-crafted jewelry, ornaments, decor and more. There’s an unlimited supply of local products at your disposal. Peruse the many places right Downtown like the Moncton Market, Starving Artist Gift Shop, My Home Mercantile, Gifts Galore and more.

Savour some seafood

It’s no secret that the Maritimes is home to some of the best seafood in the world! Head out on the town and indulge in some local flavours. There are many restaurants locally for you to enjoy East Coast favourites including, Gahan House Hub City on-site, Little Louis, Catch22, Skipper Jack’s Maritime Restaurant and more. Feel like taking a road trip? Head to Shediac and check out La Coast, Lobster Deck, Sandbar and more. Feel like venturing out a bit farther? Take a day trip to Alma and visit one of the many local options in this quaint Lobster fishing village.

Not only do we have Bar55 here on-site featuring hand-crafted cocktails, but there’s a great selection of places to grab a drink within walking distance of us. Whether you like it on the rocks or shaken up, you’ll surely find your Spring drink at either Euston Park, St. Jame’s Gate, Third Glass Wine & Martini Baror the Laundromat Espresso Bar! More of a sangria sipper? Many local restaurants offer their own blend including Gahan House Hub City, right here on-site.

Head to a show

From its lighted marquee to the lovely theatre and balcony seating area, the Capitol Theatre is an icon of Downtown Moncton! When it comes to experiencing Moncton! There’s tons of music, comedy and more happening at the Capitol year-round. The Avenir Centre also has a great line-up of shows coming up.

Head to Patio Fest

Patio fest is a new Downtown Moncton music festival with events happening every Thursday at different patios downtown – all summer long! A great way to get that summer energy flowing before heading into the weekend. Stay in the loop as to where patio fest is taking place here!

Explore our local vineyard

Magnetic Hill Winery, is a must-visit in the city! Locally owned and family operated, not only are the winery tours fun, but you’ll learn a lot about the history of the vineyard, our city and the wines they carry. They offer tasting tours, table bookings with delicious charcuterie boards, and group bookings (perfect for that next girls trip)!

Check-out Festival Inspire

Every year, Moncton hosts Festival Inspire, which adds new and exciting pieces of local art throughout our city for locals and visitors alike to enjoy. Right now, there are already more than 50 murals gracing our city streets. Check-out this interactive map, and make a day of taking in our vibrant art culture. Festival Inspire will be taking place with tons of art inspired fun activities from July 11 – 16 in Moncton!

Visit the Riverfront evening market

A new local favourite experience that emerged last year, the Moncton Riverfront Evening Market is located at the Riverfront Park just steps away from us. It features a variety of music, food, art, charities, local entrepreneurs and creative performances together into one unique experience for you to enjoy. Head to the beach

New Brunswick has over 50 saltwater and freshwater beaches to explore and enjoy this summer, with many just a short drive away from us. From building sand castles, boardwalk strolls, soaking up the sun or riding the waves – we’ve got you covered. Some favourite beaches nearby include Parlee Beach, Aboiteau Beach, Murray Beach, Gagnon Beach, Sandy Beach and more.

Go lighthouse hunting

Nothing says East Coast like a lighthouse, a beacon of our history there are so many to discover, with even some that can be visited by taking a little road trip for the day like Anderson Hollow Lighthouse, Cape Egmont Lighthouse and Caissie Point Lighthouse to name a few. Chase waterfalls

There’s nothing quite like finally making it to a waterfall when out for a summer hike. As you approach, the sound of rushing water tells you that you’re on the right path to something beautiful.
